About cmNOG

The cmNOG is a non-profit organisation that provides an open forum to any member from the Internet Community in Cameroon, interested to participate in exchanges or sharing of operational & technical information and expertise in managing interconnected networks. It is managed and organised by a group of volunteers; with the aim of contributing to capacity building and to a sustainable development of network engineering technologies.

In order to continue to provide a useful forum for discussions of relevant operational & technical issues, users of the mailinglist are required to respect the guidelines provided herein.

Subscribe to the cmNOG's technical mailinglist by filling out the following form.

You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator.

    You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.

    If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options.

Guidelines for cmNOG's Technical Mailinglist Subscribers

  • Discussions are focused on Internet operational and technical issues.
  • Discussions related to meetings of network service providers are appropriate.
  • Discussions unrelated to these topics are not appropriate.
  • Postings to multiple mailing lists are discouraged.
  • Postings that include foul language, character assassination, and lack of respect for other participants are unacceptable.
  • Blatant product, or service, marketing is unacceptable.
  • Postings of a political, philosophical or legal nature are unacceptable.
  • Individuals who violate these guidelines will be contacted personally and asked to adhere to the guidelines. If an individual persists in violating the guidelines, the cmNOG's administrative team will take appropriate actions to filter any offender's messages from the mailinglist.
