[cmNOG] Call for Presentations for AIS'20 Extended

Dear Colleagues,

 

Hope you are well and safe.

As you are aware, the Africa Internet Summit 2020 was postponed due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The organising committee is continually assessing the situation and is yet to determine both the date and mode of holding the meeting. However, we are still continuing with the planning process to ensure we are prepared when the current crisis is over. We may also have an online meeting.

We are accordingly extending the call for presentations for AIS’20.

      • Deadline for submitting an application - 12 June 2020

      • Notification of acceptance of application - 19 June 2020

      • Submission of presentation - 25 June 2020

We are interested in presentations focusing on the following sub-themes:

 

      • The Internet and Sustainable Development

      • Internet Governance

      • Business Practices and Technology

      • E-governance

      • Cyber Security

      • Core Internet Infrastructure

      • Access, Utility and Development

      • Internet Number Resources Management

      • Internet Measurements

      • Higher Education in the Age of Technology

      • Cloud Computing

      • Open Data/Big Data

      • Technology and Content Production

      • Relations between Mobile Operators and the Internet Community

      • Mobile Applications

      • IPv6

      • Peering and Interconnection

      • DNS

      • RPKI

      • IXPs

 

Your contribution can be in the form of a presentation during a session, a tutorial or a live technical demonstration. Kindly read all information carefully before submitting your proposal.

 

We also encourage industry leaders to make panel proposals on an issue related to the above sub-themes. Panel proposers are asked to identify possible panelists and manage their panel. Moderators must specifically submit an official proposal, indicating their background, panelists’ names, their affiliation, the topic of their panel, as well as short biographies.

 

 

Speakers’ Guidelines

 

      • The maximum time allotted per presentation will not exceed 30 minutes.

      • The presenter(s) will be required to upload their final presentation in PDF format, no later than five (5) days prior to the presentation date.

      • Presenters are responsible for producing any handouts if required. There are usually approximately 200 delegates in each session. Presentations with marketing and/or commercial content will not be considered.

        Create your account or log in if you already have an account.  

      - Fill in the online form with the requested information including your biography 

      - Click on Make a new submission to provide your abstract, and slides if available and finally click on Submit

Comme vous le savez, le Sommet Internet Afrique 2020 a été reporté en raison de l'apparition de la pandémie COVID-19. Le comité d'organisation évalue continuellement la situation et doit encore déterminer la date et le mode de tenue de la réunion. Toutefois, nous poursuivons le processus de planification afin d'être prêts lorsque la crise actuelle sera terminée. Nous pourrions également organiser une réunion en ligne.

Nous prolongeons donc l'appel à présentations pour AIS'20.

Votre contribution peut être sous la forme d’une présentation durant une session, un tutoriel ou une démonstration technique en live. Si vous souhaitez intégrer notre équipe d’intervenants lors de notre future réunion, il vous suffit de suivre ces instructions.

 

 

Conditions à Remplir

            • Le temps maximal alloué par présentation ne doit pas dépasser 30 minutes.

            • Merci de soumettre votre présentation finale en format PDF, au plus tard cinq jours avant la date de votre présentation.

            • Les présentateurs sont responsables pour produire des documents de support en cas de besoin.

 

Nous avons habituellement une audience constituée d'environ 200 délégués pour chaque session. 

 

Les présentations avec un contenu commercial ne sont pas autorisées.

      - Créez votre compte ou connectez-vous si vous avez déjà un compte  

      - Remplissez le formulaire en ligne avec les informations demandées en incluant votre biographie 

      - Cliquer sur Make a New submission pour soumettre le résumé et vos diapositives si elles sont disponibles et finalement cliquer sur ‘submit’
